Thank you for visiting my blog! This is a space for me to share my thoughts about statistics and my experiences teaching statistics.
Specifically, you can follow my journey in developing a two-course undergraduate sequence in statistics (HSCI 2117 and HSCI 3117). Additionally, you can read some of my thoughts on modern uses of statistics and explore some of my favourite examples of statistical analyses (Seeing Stats).
About me: My name is Vimal. I’ve been in love with numbers for as long as I can remember. I went to the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and majored in Mathematics before completing a Masters in Statistics from the George Washington University. After working as a statistician for approximately 8 years, I resigned my position in order to pursue my passions. I am now an Adjunct Instructor at George Washington University teaching statistics in the School of Medicine and Health Sciences and am pursuing a PhD in Educational Psychology from the University of Minnesota Twin Cities where I specialize in statistics education.
